Push Notifications

Whenever there is a new or modified email, event or file then Gmail , Calendar or Drive notifies my extensions. Push Notifications brings realtime syncing and improves performance by reducing bandwidth. Note that the developer must bare the cost of servers to support realtime.

• Gmail extension: Options > Accounts > Polling interval = Realtime

• Calendar extension: Options > General > Realtime syncing

• Drive extension: Options > Polling interval = Realtime

Limitations

• Syncing relies on Google's servers and there may be delays with the network. The extensions will also poll regularly as a backup.

Troubleshooting

• Reinstall the extension or re-add the account
• Restart the browser
• Reinstall the extension
