• Yes, or the date itself could be a link that moves the calendar there. Note the word "open" suggests you're going to edit the event (repeat, alerts, details, location, etc), so I'd suggest "go to".

• Thanks for writing! Yes I think if the notifications are unchecked in this area, then I'd like for them to not be considered in the icon countdown. Then when I click the icon I could still see the calendars I have selected from the upper left menu?
