extension dissaper from toolbar

  The extension cannot disable itself, so you have 3 possibilities:
  Old chrome version
  Software such as an antivirus
  Other extensions
  ...if anything tries to manipulate the extension files the extension gets disabled by chrome.

  I have the most recent version of chrome, it might be the antivirus, but I doubt it, is started on one computer and keep on going when I switched (different AV) I do use it on two computers at the same day, each day.
  
  I did not installed any new ext lately , anyway to know who is doing this ?

  I use the process of elimination - disable all software and extensions. And see if the issue disappears.

  very hard to do as it happen infrequently (once a month or so) , I Will let you know if I find anything

  This happened once and I restored the extension but cannot remember how.  THe extension is gone again. I was about to recommend this to my boss but not sure if I cannot get it fixed.  Any ideas?
