Real amount of emails, no matter how many of it we have.

I have A LOT of emails in my GMail account, but after receiving a new email or marking one email as read, Checker Plus shows that I have much fewer emails in my GMail, which isn't true. Can you fix this, please?

PS GMail Notifier (Notifier for GMail as Chrome extension from the same author) shows proper amount of emails.

#Update – This how it looks like before receiving an email:

  • Which labels are you monitoring? Try changing them.
Try changing the detection method, more info https://jasonsavard.com/wiki/Account_sign_in_methods

Only inbox. Tried changing them = no effect. Also, I'm using manual detection ('cause auto detection didn't work or displayed strange errors, I can't remember), but I'll try to change this as well.

#Update: Looks like “real time” polling interval is not available for auto detection, which is sad, 'cause I like it a lot :/
  • After testing the auto detection method looks like everything is fine. However, I prefer manual detection (but if I can check/uncheck accounts in settings on auto detection method, then it's fine, I can stay on auto detection method) and I need the polling interval in real time, which isn't available in auto detection method :/
  • So I use the manual method all the time with no count issues and probably cause I never have more than 10 unread emails, so another solution is to mark all your unread emails as read and then maintain a low amount of unread emails. • I'll stay at auto detection method, but is it possible for you to make real time polling interval to work with this method, pls?
  • You could change the auto-detect interval to the risky 15 seconds if you want. But both methods are completely different and for good reason as a backup to each other.
  • Hmm, I'm not sure is it a bug, but I found this: In my emails preview list (I'm not sure how it's named here, but I think you'll understand what it is) I can load max. 20 newest emails and I can't load more of them (20 then again 20, and then again 20, etc.), which didn't happen on manual detection method. Is it normal?
  • Yes there are vast differences between both detection methods, it's almost like 2 separate apps in terms of api calls to fetch and handle the emails. But either way, having more than 20 unread emails do cause count issues because both methods become less accurate the higher the number. I strongly suggest marking everything as read if the number count is an issue for you.
  • Okay, that makes sense. Thank you for help & info. And btw. if you could make to work polling interval “real time” setting in auto detection account method, I'll be happy :) In the meantime, I'll stay at 15 seconds interval :)
