Actually the app will show you any unread emails from whichever labels you have configured to monitor in the options, presumably you might have chosen to monitor "all mail" and this will reveal the archived unread emails, try selecting to monitor only the inbox label and (if you have no unread emails there) then you shouldn't see any unread emails in my extension
Ok, found it: if I choose "inbox" it works as expected but if I choose "important mail" then I get unread messages from outside the inbox which google has flagged as important.
How do I flag "inbox AND important"? I can get "inbox OR important" but that's not what I want.
I'm not having any luck with that. Searches based on labels aren't processed for incoming mail so it's never making it to mailchecker.
I'm going to go with another option for now but it only shows one email at a time as opposed to your list which I like MUCH better. I'll keep my subscription to this thread so if you ever implement inbox AND important please let me know!
Actually I have a question for you, why you are Important mails being archived in the first place? They should normally appear in your Inbox, no?
Sorry I don't use the Important label and I'm just trying to understand how it works. Is it possible some process or filter is archiving these mails out of your inbox?
I have some things that google flags as important but aren't and I send straight to the archive. I suppose I could try cleaning up my past incidences of these and correcting my filter going forward so they're marked as read when they're archived. I'll give it a try and let you know.
