dismiss event with when clicking video issue

"I noticed something possibly related that started a few days ago. Now when I click on a video link to join a meeting the reminder dialog is dismissed but a few minutes later it pops back up. I made sure the 'Dismiss event when joining video' option is checked."

  • The workflow is the reminder will pop up and I'll snooze until 1 minute before the meeting begins, then when the second alert is displayed I'll click on the meeting link to join the Google Meet, which should dismiss the reminder permanently. A few minutes later after the meeting has begun the alert will appear again.

  • Log output for service worker after I got the errant alert 5 minutes after the meeting started:

  • @Cory ok, i'll investigate, can I assume you were just updated to the latest extension version 35.0.2

  • Ok great details thank you very much.

Now we are going to test if it's related to the window closing too quickly before dismissing the event.

Can you do a test, but make sure there are 2 events in reminder window, one random event and one with a video link, then click the join video link. It should dismiss that event, but not close the window because there is the other event present. Do not close that reminder window and simply wait 5min and see if that video event popups again within that reminder window.

  • Can you force an update to the latest v35.0.3 with these instructions: https://jasonsavard.com/wiki/Extension_Updates

and let me know if the video dismiss issue is resolved.
