Countdown and notification issue due to Chrome bug
There's a Chrome bug affecting a portion of my extension users and it's also affecting several other extensions from different developers.

You can resolve the issue by disable/enabling the extension or by restarting the browser occasionally.
Update Oct 25: I am pushing a workaround for this issue in v29.5.1
