The email doesn't get marked read when clicking report spam.
When there is only one email and it is marked spam, it doesn't clear the email as being read. Only when you manually refresh does it dissapear.

Can you let me know which settings you have set here.
And a screenshot of which spam button are you using.

Ok thanks I just tested it and the email should be marked as read as soon you preview it, because you have that setting. So it shouldn't be related to the report as spam.
It's possible you have to wait for the Gmail website to auto-update, it might not be syncing immediately, but the email does indeed get marked as read.
