The contribution page doesn't allow to contribute.

Hello Jason,

I've used the gmail extension for years and I'd like to contribute.

On this page: https://jasonsavard.com/en-GB/contribute, clicking on the amount has no effect. I'm on Firefox.

Btw: how do you survive without cellphone plan ? All your calls go through wifi ?

Comments

  • Can you try clicking an amount again, then right click on the contribute page and select Inspect then the Console tab and send me the logs. Most likely you have another extension or software installed that is interfering with websites.

For calls, I just use VOIP :)

  • Some logs came in French.

Requesting the page generates the logs here below. Clicking on an amount generates no log.

  • [phone]... which means you must always be within a wifi range. Once outside you can't make calls any more.

  • Thanks for the logs so interestingly enough the regular logs are in english and the ones that are saying that .js files are blocked are in french. I have to assume you might using another extension or software that is blocking scripts or perhaps ads. Can you list what you have installed? and try disabling them.

[phone] yeah it's pretty much a landline, just like the good old days :)

  • The culprit is found, it's AdBlocker Ultimate. Enabling ads on your site makes the payment available.

Actually I've already donated yesterday, using the 'Contribute' element from the menu list from the extension "Checker Plus for Google Calendar". There, there is no issue with AdBlocker.

  • I'm curious did you change any settings to that AdBlocker or maybe setup a very strict profile etc.

  • No specific config that I know of

  • ok thanks i'll queue it for investigation, but I would say is a problem with their extension because it is blocking regular code and therefore a false positive which could lead to issues on other websites.
