Chrome - Cannot read property '0' of undefined

On Chrome startup, Checker Plus for Gmail threw the following popup exception: Cannot read property '0' of undefined

Pressing Refresh does not reload new Emails - it only showed the old emails.

After waiting 30 seconds - 1 minute, the issue went away, and I can refresh for new emails normally.
