Hidden labels not available - bug or feature?

When you use https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/labels to hide a label (so that it won't show up on left side anymore), you can still assign that label to mails. That is also still possible in the Gmail app, but not in Checker Plus for Gmail. Hidden labels are totally hidden and unavailable.

Is this a bug or done on purpose? If on purpose, how about an option to make hidden labels available?

  • interesting, thanks for bringing it to my attention, are you using the default auto-detect or manual add? https://jasonsavard.com/wiki/Account_sign_in_methods

have you tried switching to see if that makes a difference

  • You're welcome.

I had to use manual to see the email labels.

No, I didn't dare doing that since I've finally set up the extension exactly like I want it. :D

  • So I've tested hiding a custom label and it still shows up in my extension as intended.

Were you hiding a system or categories label?

  • No, it was just a normal label. Weird.
