Recent Tabs causes bad performance in Google Docs

I'm using the Recent Tabs extension. It's causing a security error on every keystroke, which in turn causes high CPU usage and extremely laggy input:

/.../Extensions/ocllfmhjhfmogablefmibmjcodggknml/ Uncaught DOMException: Failed to read the 'contentDocument' property from 'HTMLIFrameElement': Blocked a frame with origin "https://docs.google.com" from accessing a cross-origin frame.

  • Use method #1 in the options instead.
  • Interesting, apparently the checkbox "Enabled" applies only to option #2 usage? That was hard to figure out.

It'd be nice if this documented the performance consequences.
