Hovering over notification

Is there a way to configure notifications so that when you hover over them, they do not disappear? For example, I will get a notification of several emails and would like to read through them via the notification to see if I should click to open. I am looking for a way to configure it so that when I hover over it, it will not disappear regardless of the amount of time that elapses.

I'm assuming your using the rich notifications as shown here http://jasonsavard.com/wiki/Desktop_notifications

however, this would be a Chrome suggestion because I have no control over that behaviour

Jason - thanks for your prompt response.  This is interesting because I use the Android app / Chrome extension called MightyText to text people from my computer.  When those Chrome notifications show up, they do not disappear while I am hovering over them.  I'm interested as to what the difference may be.  I will do some investigating.  Thanks and great job on your awesome apps!
