Force window to front

DrewUngvarsky

Is it possible to have the notification window force itself to the front when a new notification is added?

Sometimes if I miss a notification or forget to dismiss it, additional notifications happen within the window while it's obscured by other windows, and as a result I miss the notifications.

Jason

ok good news, i've pushed out v24.2
https://jasonsavard.com/wiki/Checker_Plus_for_Google_Calendar_changelog
Awesome, thanks. Appreciate your quick update. Will keep an eye on it and hope that fixes the issues where I'm missing notifications. Not sure if it's related, but I've noticed that sometimes the audio alerts stop working (even when I go test them within the extension settings), and the only way to get them back is to restart the browser.

Jason

Do you mean the sound or voice alert? which sound are you using?

DrewUngvarsky

The sound notification. I'm using the default "ding". But when I've previously noticed that the sound isn't playing, I've checked the extension settings and tried other sounds, and they don't work either. Restarting Chrome fixed it.

Jason

ok next time the issue happens can you try playing a test sound and then send me the error logs https://jasonsavard.com/wiki/Error_logs

DrewUngvarsky

Will do. Thanks!

hello Jason,

i'm noticing also that my pop up windws stay in the back of my focused window.; is there an option to make any notification pop up windows to always appear in the front of everything ?

thanks a lot for your answer.

( ps: very good and very complete extension you got here!! thanks a lot )

Jason

rabitosorus There's currently no way to force it, but it should attempt to take focus, but that behaviour changes depending on the OS you are using. From window's experience if you are actively typing or mousing around then the OS will not interrupt you and place it behind, otherwise it should be in the focus.
