The pandemic is putting a strain on our eyes since we are mostly online with video calls. However, operating systems can enable dark mode to make it easier on our eyes.
Dark mode can also darken Chrome, websites and extensions which automatically detect it. It seems 1 out of 6 users on my site already have dark mode enabled on their computer, so I figured I need to adapt my website to also display in dark mode.
This requires the developer like myself to go through every background color and make it dark or shades thereof as well as put lighter contrasting text on each page. You can visit the homepage to see it in action and even toggle dark mode on or off at the bottom of the site.
